CJ Founds Associates Launches Ambitious Carbon Reduction Plan to Achieve Net Zero Emissions
CJ Founds Associates has announced its commitment to achieving Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050.
A management consultancy that helps deliver transformational services for businesses and citizens across digital programmes, highways and place-making, its Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) is an ambitious strategy designed to phase out the organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It underscores CJ Founds Associates’ commitment to its ‘Planet, People, and Prosperity’ approach.
The plan builds on sustainable business practices that benefit customers, suppliers, the wider community, and the environment, with the goal to expedite progress and reach Net Zero by 2040.
It sets clear and actionable targets for reducing emissions, aligned with CJ Founds’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments, ensuring that the entire organisation is engaged in this critical effort.
Complying with PPN 06/2, the Plan is designed to drive meaningful reductions in the organisation’s carbon footprint through a combination of strategic initiatives and behavioural changes. It will be reviewed and updated, annually ensuring transparency and an ongoing commitment to the organisation’s sustainability goals.
As a professional business with both office and virtual working environments, a sustainable travel policy and, a company-owned electric vehicle fleet, CJ Founds Associates already maintains a relatively small carbon footprint. The majority of our carbon reduction targets will be achieved through encouraging and implementing behavioural changes across its employees.
Chris Founds, Co-Founder and Managing Director at CJ Founds Associates said:
“Building on our previous CSR efforts and the importance of our ‘People, Planet and Prosperity’ approach, sustainability has been integral to in company ethos and strategy, ensuring minimal environmental impact and fostering positive economic, social and natural outcomes.
“Our commitments reflect those of our clients and the many Local Authorities we work with, who have individually declared Climate Emergencies and are introducing their own measures to reduce emissions.
“Our commitment to this Net Zero goal is well thought out and we intend to reach Net Zero through collaboration with our clients, partners, colleagues and wider communities in which we work, learning from each other and being accountable for our actions. Our entire team is supportive of our strategy, and we look forward to reporting on our progress.”
