CJFA paves the way for ultrafast internet in St Helens Town Centre

CJ Founds Associates is proud to announce its role in securing a major contract for the delivery of a state-of-the-art full fibre internet network in St Helens Town Centre, as part of the borough’s ambitious Digital Infrastructure Programme.

The project, awarded to Elevate®, will significantly enhance internet speeds and reliability for residents, businesses, and visitors, supporting the town’s wider regeneration goals under the Government’s Town Fund Programme.

As trusted digital infrastructure consultants, CJ Founds Associates collaborated closely with St Helens Borough Council, providing expertise in developing the Commercial Case and Contracting Strategy. Their guidance also extended to innovative use cases and digital initiatives, including ‘Dig Once’ strategies and extensive stakeholder engagement to ensure the project’s success.

Chris Founds, Managing Director of CJ Founds Associates, said: “We are thrilled to contribute to this transformative project for St Helens. Our team worked hand-in-hand with the Council to create a robust strategy that not only delivers immediate connectivity benefits but also sets the groundwork for future digital opportunities in the town.”

The new full fibre network is poised to play a vital role in attracting investment, fostering business growth, and enabling modern digital services across the region. It will also support the council’s vision of creating a digitally connected town that is ready for future technologies such as 5G.

The Elevate® network will integrate social value by partnering with Tute Education, enhancing access to quality education for schools, students, parents, and carers across St Helens. This aligns with CJ Founds Associates’ commitment to building digital infrastructure that drives inclusive growth and long-term community benefits.

CJ Founds Associates looks forward to continuing its work with St Helens Borough Council and other partners to deliver projects that shape the future of digital infrastructure and place-making across the UK.
