CJ Founds Associates is now using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support its clients following the establishment of a new specialist service area.
It’s new proposition is underpinned by the expertise of data and GIS mapping specialist Alana Gaughan. Alana brings a crucial skillset to CJFA, enhancing its offerings across digital infrastructure, highways, and placemaking projects.
This new capability enables the firm to provide advanced mapping, data analysis, and asset management solutions that streamline project planning and implementation for clients, working within existing Client data sets, open market data and being an accredited member of Ordnance Survey.
With GIS, the company has been delivering detailed digital and placemaking asset mapping, which enables clients to visualise and assess physical infrastructure such as digital assets (fibre, small cells and mobile masts) and street furniture across project sites. And by transforming hard-copy original documents into editable digital layers, CJFA provides project stakeholders with a cohesive, interactive way of viewing their sites, and enhancing their ability to make more efficient and informed decisions. This has been particularly useful with Public Rights of Way data allowing community queries to be responded to quicker, and allow focus on forward intervention and maintenance programmes.
Alana’s expertise also bolsters CJFA’s connectivity reporting capabilities, allowing clients to assess broadband coverage at various levels, from individual properties to borough-wide views. We now hold significant regional and local authority fibre and mobile coverage mapping – with our analysis supporting digital exclusion programmes and working alongside Authority Capital Programmes to develop Dig Once and Small Cell roll-out opportunities for digital infrastructure., the upcoming PSTN switch off and some of the Government DSIT programmes.
Chris Founds, managing director said: “Alana’s expertise means our business support has expanded through data driven decision making and GIS-enabled digital master planning and streamlining data management by consolidating layers within a unified map system.
“It’s transformational for our clients being able to quickly visualise information in the format that works for them. With Alana’s contributions, we’re well-positioned to deliver more innovative GIS solutions offering deeper and intelligent insights that support sustainable projects.”
In addition, CJ Founds’ GIS capabilities extend to data processing, converting complex data into accessible formats compatible across various GIS programs, and enhancing communication between project stakeholders and project teams.
With Alana’s expert lead, CJ Founds Associates is well-positioned to deliver innovative GIS solutions that support resilient and sustainable infrastructure, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to advancing client and community projects.
