Sustainable Transport - Walking & Cycling Programme
Engaged as part of the Burgess Hill Growth Programme by Mid Sussex District Council, we provided overall programme management, technical support and contract supervision for this complex infrastructure project, working alongside SCAPE framework providers Balfour Beatty
With grant funding provided from the Local Growth fund and Business Rates, we developed a contract delivery strategy to secure committed spend and accelerate much needed sustainable transport facilities across the region.
Working closely with stakeholders such as Homes England, Network Rail and the County Council as highway authority; we have supported in obtaining all necessary permissions and approvals to implement over 10km of on-carriageway cycle lanes, greenways and cycle-tracks across Burgess Hill.
Following an extensive virtual consultation period, our expert team analysed and authored a Public Engagement Outcome Report, used to support key decisions and move forward with scheme design and implementation. The analysis was underpinned using our specialist spatial mapping software to identify areas of concern, track key responses and support conclusions and recommendations.
